Really helped with a chronic shoulder problem - gave me options of how to proceed and worked with me to make sure I was comfortable with the course of action. Follow up care was great and most of all - my shoulder feels brand new! Thanks Dr Makki

Had a Dupuytren Contracture operation on my left hand. As well as performing a very good operation, he had a great relaxing manner during the operation. The operation has been very successful and recovery swift with full motion back in my hand within 4 weeks,

Back in July I broke my left should and right wrist. I had surgery on my left shoulder with Dr. Makki, and I couldn't be more impressed with the care I received. From the initial consultation to the post-operative follow-ups, Dr. Makki was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned about my well-being. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done over the last few months. I would highly recommend Dr. Makki to anyone in need of orthopaedic care.

At my first consultation with Mr Makki he explained what procedure would be required to cure the permanent problem I had with osteoarthritis around the thumb / wrist joint that I had suffered with for a number of years. After reviewing 2 x-rays with me he recommended a trapeziectomy and outlined in detail what the surgery actually entailed. He was very honest in what benefits this would give me in the long term with regards to relieving the pain but also pointed out that an increase in mobility of the thumb was unlikely. I underwent surgery in November 2022 and Mr Makki again explained this in detail at the hospital prior to the operation. On discharge from hospital after the operation a follow up consultation was arranged where the initial cast and dressings were removed. He took great care to examine the outcome of his work and to explain the next stages of recovery to me. 3 months on I have now had my final consultation with Mr Makki where he discharged me from his care but not before looking at a minor issue I had with my lower arm. Again he explained the likely cause of this problem and whilst it was nothing serious he provided me with great reassurance that all had gone well with the surgery and I could get back to a "normal" life. And he was right ..... I now have no more crippling pain, the odd minor ache or two but he has said that will improve in the next few months, plus I have got greater mobility in the thumb due to the lack of this pain. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Makki to anyone needing this type of surgery as the knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and overall care he provided for me was first class.

Mr Makki was nothing but the consummate professional, he was courteous and polite, his knowledge of the shoulder and my injury was second to none. He carried out the operation like it was 'nothing' and his follow up was exemplary. Highly recommended.
